High impact science is produced in an environment that fosters creative problem solving and innovations. QBio creates such an environment by bringing together researchers with unique perspectives and backgrounds. We strongly believe that everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation, should be supported to succeed in science. Thus, we strive to make QBio an inclusive space for future generations of scientists, professors, and industry leaders and foster their growth academically, professionally, and personally. We encourage faculty, students and postdocs in QBio to participate in campus organizations that support the growth of under-represented minorities in STEM. In addition, we also inspire future generations of scientists (K-12 students) in the New Haven area via science outreach initiatives.
